Kat's Lanzarote Ironman to Fundraise for Building Heroes

Support Kat in her Lanzarote Ironman Challenge!

In support of Building Heroes, Kat Wisniewski, one of our key training partners from our Ibstock Academy, which is delivered in partnership with Davidsons Homes and West Notts College, is rising to an incredible challenge: she's taking on the Lanzarote Ironman challenge in May 2024, with a fundraising target of £1000.

This epic event will start with a 3.8km sea swim, followed by a 112-mile bike course around the island, and topped off with a 26.2-mile run. She is well into her training programme now, with more to come over the next two months as she readies herself to smash the challenge and her fundraising goals.

We caught up with Kat to find out why she has chosen to support Building Heroes:

Kat said: "I have decided to raise funds for a fabulous educational charity that I work closely with in my day job. This initiative rely solely on charitable funding and donations to provide construction skills and employability training to military veterans. The work that they do is incredible and I am heart warmed by every individual that is helped after leaving the forces."

We will be keeping up with her training progress and look forward to cheering her on from Blighty as she takes on this formidable event. If you would like to keep up with Kat, donate to support her, and follow her progress, please click the link below!
